Questions About VIN Swapping. Okay.. Let's see if I can explain this in the quickest way possible. Started with a 411 PCM from a 2000 truck. I licensed the PCM and began tuning. Everything is good with the tune/truck/programming until I swapped in electric fans. Figured out the O/S that was on the original PCM could not properly run the fans.The 2002 express van was still using the 5.7 vortec engine, and it also used the 0411 pcm. Then you can tune with efilive, hptuners etc. Way more support and table to modify than jet dst. The 0411's that were in the HD trucks/vans with 7.4's (?)2500 and 3500 had a dual knock sensor system. Where the basic (5.7's)1500 and some 2500 non-HD had single wire.
